San Francisco Day 4

Well today was mostly just trying to soak up as much city as possible before we head up to Lake Tahoe. We checked out Union Square and Chinatown again. Brad was all geared up for me to go crazy on some major shopping, but I just wasn't feelin it. I think we were just tired. More walking than we're used to, but I love it. I did buy some beautiful turquoise in Chinatown that i can make into a necklace. We also checked out the cable car museum which was pretty interesting. When we got back to hotel we just relaxed and enjoyed the day. I mostly enjoyed not being in a cubicle! I finished my book (The Host) and had to go straight to Barnes and Noble conveniently located accross the street to stock up on books for Tahoe. We also noticed there was a Trader Joe's right down the block. We love Trader Joe's! So of course we had to buy bags and bags of goodies to load up the rental car with. It has been wonderful here! Did I mention that I found these miniature donuts on Pier 39? They take them straight out of the fryer, sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar, put them and all their hot cinnamony goodness into a little bag and had it right to you. Right then. They are still piping hot! We went almost every night. One night we even hightailed it from the other side of the wharf to try to get some before they closed and just missed them. I don't know where you can find these little delights back home, but I hope I never find out! I do not trust myself around these babies!
