San Francisco Day 2

Today we tried to get our bearings a little bit so we decided to take a bus tour so that we could see all the big sites and then decide where we wanted to go. I've already been to San Francisco several times, and taken a bus tour, but this was Brad's first time and it was really fun so see his reactions. First we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge, which no matter how many times you see it is still unbelievable. We drove accross to the other side too. And it was cold. Very cold. But we got a seat at the back of the bus right next to a couple from Australia so Brad could talk soccer with them the whole time. Soccer, football, whatever. We also saw Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury (Brad was very excited to see where Jerry Garcia lived-I was fearful we'd be listening to the Grateful Dead for weeks), Union Square, Russian Hill, City Hall, Chinatown, and lots of other places that I can't remember right now. This is when Brad said, "okay, now i get it," referring to why this is one of the most expensive cities to live. After we holed up in the hotel again for a while, we ventured out for dinner. We had reservations at Mccormick and Kuletos's, which is the same as Mccormick and Schmicks in other cities. I have no words in which to describe this meal. None. It was that good. One of my best dining experiences ever. Just check out the view from our table. We had, of course, fish and sour dough bread. And then there was something magical. It's called a chocolate bag. It's actually desert. Yes, a bag made entirely of chocolate and filled with this wonder creamy filling and fresh berries. And more chocolate. Afterwards we enjoyed our walk back to the hotel along the wharf. We also checked out pier 39. This is the most romantic city, ever.
